Soran’s Workshop Privacy Policy

Effective date: 7 October 2026

Soran’s Workshop is developed by Soran Hourami. This policy explains how the Mac app handles information, including when it is distributed through TestFlight.

Files and local processing

Soran’s Workshop processes documents, PDFs, scans and images on your Mac. The app does not upload your input files or generated results to the developer for conversion, OCR or storage. No app account is required.

The app accesses files and folders you select or provide to it. The TestFlight build uses macOS App Sandbox and requests access to input files and destination folders. Processing may create temporary working files on your Mac. Results are saved to the location you choose.

If you choose an iCloud Drive, Nextcloud, OneDrive or other synchronised folder, that service may upload your files under its own settings and privacy policy. Soran’s Workshop does not operate that synchronisation service.

Information stored on your Mac

The app stores preferences, saved processing presets, workflow recipes and document-pack template text locally. Text you put in a saved template may contain personal information.

Recent Results remembers up to 30 output file paths, the tool used and the processing date. In the sandboxed build, it may also store macOS file-access bookmarks so you can reopen results. These records are stored in local app preferences and are not sent to the developer by the app.

You can clear Recent Results within the app; this removes the history and its stored bookmarks without deleting your output files. Saved workflows and document-pack templates can be deleted through their respective controls. Output files remain in their chosen folders until you remove them. Removing the application alone may leave local preferences or other app data on your Mac. Your own backup services may retain copies.

Analytics and TestFlight

The app does not include advertising, advertising identifiers, tracking SDKs or a separate developer-operated analytics service.

When you install and use a beta through TestFlight, Apple collects testing information and makes information available to the developer. This can include your name and email address, installation and usage information, crash reports, and feedback or screenshots you submit. We use this information to investigate problems, respond to feedback and improve Soran’s Workshop.

Apple’s handling and retention of this information are described in TestFlight and Privacy and the TestFlight terms.

Support and information you send

If you contact hello@hourami.uk, the developer receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. This information is used to respond and investigate the issue. Avoid sending confidential documents, passwords or sensitive personal information unless needed for a specific support request. Screenshots and diagnostic reports can contain filenames or other personal information.

Support information and downloaded beta feedback are retained only as needed to handle the request, investigate issues and meet applicable obligations. You can request deletion of information held by the developer by emailing the address below. Apple manages information held in its own services separately.

Sharing and your choices

The developer does not sell your personal information or use it for advertising. Support and beta information may be handled by the email and distribution services used to provide support and testing, or disclosed where required by law.

You control the files you provide, where results are saved, what feedback you submit and whether you continue beta testing. For access, correction or deletion requests concerning information held by the developer, contact hello@hourami.uk. Information kept solely on your Mac is managed locally; the developer cannot retrieve or delete it remotely.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the app or its information-handling practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
